INTRODUCTION OF THE TRIP

Hello!
       We are doing a trip next December. We are planning to leave on Thursday 27, and coming back on Sunday 30. In this trip we want to improve our English and learn new cultures and some French. We think that Paris is an propitiate city because there are a lot of different cultures who live together and there is  range variety of things to visit or activities to do all together. Our intention is to enjoy ourselves and to meet new people of other cultures and socialise.

THURSDAY, 27 DECEMBER

On Thursday, we will take a train  from Hendaia to Paris.
To go to Hendaia we will take a train from here, San Sebastian, to Hendaia. This train leaves at 06.00h in the morning and we arrive there at 06.30h, so we will have enough time to take our train on time.
The train to Paris leaves  at 06.45h in the morning and we will arrive at 12.35h.
This train tickets cost 312,00€ for 4 people in second class.It is a special price because it is an offer for young people.

Once we are there, in Paris, we will catch a taxi to go to our hotel.
We will stay the 3 nights in the Mercurie Paris La Villete hotel. Which it is located in 15, rue de Tolbiac, 13. Place d'Italie.

The cost for three nights in this hotel will be 591€ for 4 people in a bedroom with 2 double beds. The hotel has 4 stars and it is very luxurious.

After relaxing a bit in the hotel and having lunch in the hotel we will go for a walk in the neighbourhood.
We will have dinner in a typical french restaurant near our hotel.

FRIDAY, 28 DECEMBER

We are going to get up early and have breakfast in the hotel. Then, about ten o'clock, we are leaving the hotel and we will visit the cathedral of Notre-Dame. It's a very interesting Gothic church located in a island on the river Senna. If you want more information, click here.





 After that, we will go on foot to the Opera Garnier while we enjoyed the landscape. When we finish visiting that interesting monument, we will have lunch all together in a typical restaurant where we would eat some foie and cheese raclette. We will accompany those delicious dishes with French wine. 




In the afternoon, we will go to the Champs-Elysees, where we will do some shopping and meet new people. There are a lot of different types of traditional things to buy, and we are highly light to take advantage of buying some souvenirs for our family and friends.  If you want to have more information about the shops click here. Moreover, we will see the Arc de Triumph. It's one of the most famous monuments in Paris and honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars.


After going to the hotel to have a shower and leave the shopping, we are going to a fast-food take-away restaurant to have dinner, we will go to eat an ice cream near the river Senna. There we would go on a trip in the Bateau-Mouche to enjoy great sighseeing under the moonlight. Here, you can find some information.



 Finally, we are going to return to the hotel to sleep.

SATURDAY, 29 DECEMBER

In the morning, after having breakfast in the hotel, we will visit the museum of Louvre.
After having a look of the architectural style, we will get in the museum. As we are not 18 the ticket will be free. There, we will see some famous paintings of the history; such as, the "Mona Lisa" and so on. Then by 13.00 we will have lunch in an Italian restaurant.

After having a good lunch, in the afternoon, we are visiting another famous church called the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur. The basilica is located at the summit of  Montmartre, the highest point in the city. It's amazing so we will take some photos to it.

Later on, as it is close by, we are visiting the Moulin Rouge. It is best known as the spiritual birthplace of the modern form of the can-can dance. We will enjoy ourselves and have so fun there. If we have the opportunity, we will see a show; but, we don't think so because it's too expensive.

 By 8.00pm we are going to go to relax ourselves in the hotel, and to have a shower. We will change our clothes and go for dinner to a very famous crepes restaurante.

   To end good the day, we will go clubbing. We haven't decided yet where are we going but we hope we would have a good time. We are thinking to go here.

SUNDAY, 3O DECEMBER

This last morning we will get up early, by 08.00h.
Then, we will have breakfast in the hotel as usual. After paying  the accommodation we will leave the luggage in the reception so we can visit the Eiffel Tower before taking the train to return home.


After travelling by subway for a few minutes, we will arrive to the Eiffel Tower.
There, we will go up to the top and there we will be astonished by the sights.
The fare to visit the top of the tower is 14€ and it is opened by 09.30h to 11.45h.

Then, we will take our last pictures in Paris and we will return to the hotel to take our luggage and to go to the train station. Before getting in the train we will buy a "happy meal" menu and eat it there, in the station.

We will be leaving paris at 14.28h and we will arrive to Hendaia at 21.55h.
It will be a long trip but as we are going be tired it will be a good opportunity to sleep.

CONCLUSION

 We think it would be very exciting to go to Paris because the plans that we have prepared are so interesting. Moreover, we are going to improve the relationship we have with our classmates all together. As we said before, it's a great opportunity to communicate with people from other countries.
